New Year's Eve Gala – Silent auction items

Sunday is the big New Year's Eve Gala at the Historic Ellendale Opera House, a one-of-a-kind experience with the opportunity to have fun and give to a great cause (Opera House renovations) at the same time!

Formal attire is optional! Entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes, silent auction, and more! Tickets are $25 per person. Tickets are available at the American Legion or online at:

Enjoy dinner and share some laughs

Enjoy a night of good food and hilarious comedy at Ellendale’s historic Opera House Saturday, October 8. 

There also will be a short recognition program honoring John Wheelihan, long-time O.P.E.R.A., Inc., Inc. board member who  recently retired from the board.

A baked potato dinner with broccoli/cheese and chili toppings will be served beginning at 6 p.m., followed at 7 p.m. by the recognition program and entertainment featuring a mixture of sketch comedy and jokes in the spirit of “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”.

Cast members are Wren Murphy, Megan Roehl, Chloe Thurber, Chase Nishek, Cindy Axt, Deb Elhard, Brenda Rekow, Tom Davis and Grant Crabtree.

Admission, which includes both the meal and entertainment, is $10. If you wish to come only for the recognition and comedy at 7 p.m., admission is $5.

Come and join in the fun and delicious food and the recognition for John Wheelihan.  It is sure to be a great night.
